Great to meet you!
I hold an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. in Business Administration and Management from DeVry University. Have extensive experience working with children, teens and adults facing depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, and PTSD, and has served individuals in the foster system, juvenile halls, crisis stabilization units, and correctional facilities. Have also supported perpetrators of sex crimes, and offers both couples counseling and faith-based therapy.
A bit about my approach to therapy
I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach, blending narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavior (DBT), solution-focused, and person-centered techniques to meet each client where they are. Together, we’ll explore the stories you tell about yourself and reframe unhelpful thoughts (narrative therapy, CBT), build emotion-regulation and distress-tolerance skills (DBT), set concrete, achievable goals (solution-focused), and cultivate the empathy, safety, and unconditional positive regard at the heart of person-centered work.
What you can expect from our first session
Over the years, I’ve helped clients struggling with trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and life-stage transitions—whether they’re young people in foster care or juvenile hall, individuals in outpatient and crisis-stabilization settings, survivors of sexual abuse, or those involved in corrections and sex-offense treatment. I also support couples seeking to deepen their connection and offer faith-based counseling for clients who wish to integrate their spiritual values into the healing process. My goal is always to shine light on your strengths, clarify your values, and equip you with practical tools for lasting change.
Looking forward in hearing from you!
Best Regards,
